Wild West Days on the Trail

One of the most exciting family events of the year is coming to the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum.

Wild West Days on the Trail invites guests to step into the spirit of the Old West for two full days of fun, history, and hands-on adventure. Families can enjoy petting zoo experiences, hayrides, longhorns, historians, storytellers, live music, gunfighter reenactments, and cannons that bring the frontier to life. Guests can also explore vendors and food trucks, take part in the Instagram photo contest, experience the historic Old Town of Wardville, and enjoy chuckwagon cooking. Special featured events include the first annual Lil Miss Chisholm Trail Pageant and a pet western costume contest. This is the kind of weekend that makes memories and gives visitors a true taste of Texas heritage.
