One of the most exciting and educational events of the year returns to the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum!
Step back into 1854 and experience Texas Independence Day "REMEMBER THE ALAMO" the way it was meant to be — loud, proud, and unforgettable. Watch live reenactors bring history to life with cannon fire demonstrations, Old West gunslinger action, and immersive historical encampments, performing the battle at the Alamo spread across the museum grounds.
Feel the thunder of the cannons. Hear the crack of gunfire. Walk among living history actors who share the struggles and triumphs of the fight for Texas freedom. This family-friendly celebration has become a favorite tradition for history lovers, homeschool families, independent school districts, veterans, and visitors of all ages. The chuckwagons will be cooking or shop amount among all the handcrafted vendors.
